The anticipation surrounding Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus reached a fever pitch last night as the star-studded premiere of Ramayana took over Mumbai. The event felt like a true cinematic festival, drawing a massive turnout from the industry’s biggest names to celebrate the epic project. Leading man Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Ram, arrived in a dapper maroon traditional kurta paired with dark jeans, graciously folding his hands for the cameras to thank fans for their overwhelming support.
Alia Bhatt undoubtedly stole the spotlight as she graced the cosmic-themed red carpet in an elegant grey saree featuring a striking blue border and an intricately beaded blouse. She was joined by Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, who looked radiant alongside the couple. The guest list was a literal who’s who of Bollywood, featuring heavyweights like Sunny Deol in a crisp white suit, Vivek Oberoi, Lara Dutta, and Kunal Kapoor. Other notable attendees included Ravie Dubey, who arrived with his wife Sargun Mehta, along with Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
Director Nitesh Tiwari was present with his wife, director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, and their children to mark the milestone. The film, which is envisioned as a massive two-part epic, features a powerhouse ensemble including Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios alongside DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the production promises to be a visual spectacle. Fans can catch Part 1 in theatres worldwide starting November 5, with the second installment slated for a Diwali 2027 release.
