Manoj Bajpayee is gearing up for the OTT release of his film Last Man in Tower, which hits streaming platforms on November 6. As the film makes its digital debut, the seasoned actor is reflecting on the experience of sharing screen space with industry stalwarts Boman Irani and Divya Dutta. For Bajpayee, working with Irani was a long-held ambition finally fulfilled. He described the actor as a top-tier performer and a wonderful human being, noting that this project marks their first-ever face-to-face collaboration on screen.

The praise didn’t stop there, as Bajpayee also highlighted Divya Dutta’s standout performance in the film. Despite having worked on four films together previously, this is the first time the two have shared scenes directly. Bajpayee was vocal about his admiration, stating that he considers her work in this project to be among the finest in her entire career. He promised that audiences would be pleasantly surprised by the depth and nuance she brings to her character.

Directed by Ben Rekhi and produced by Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media, the film is an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s acclaimed novel. Bajpayee portrays Yogesh Mishra, a retired schoolteacher affectionately known as Masterji. The narrative centers on a community facing a life-altering decision, with Masterji emerging as the focal point of the conflict when he refuses to compromise on his principles.

Reflecting on the film’s emotional core, Bajpayee expressed his hope that families will watch the story together. He noted that while the film received critical acclaim during its brief theatrical release on September 11, it deserves a wider audience. He believes the story—which touches on family struggles, memories, and the fight to preserve one’s home—is a universal narrative that resonates with everyone. The film is now set to reach a broader audience when it begins streaming on Zee5.
