Bollywood stalwarts Pankaj Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari are bringing a fresh, wholesome vibe to our screens with their upcoming project, Parivarik ManuRanjan. In a candid chat, the duo opened up about why this film stands out in the crowded OTT landscape. Pankaj Tripathi explained that the title itself serves as a promise to the audience, clarifying that the film is designed for collective, community viewing rather than solitary consumption. He emphasized that the ‘family entertainer’ aspect was woven into the script from the very beginning, ensuring that viewers can tune in with their loved ones without any hesitation or need for disclaimers.
The chemistry between the two leads is clearly a major highlight of the film. Pankaj admitted he was thrilled when he learned that a performer of Aditi’s caliber had joined the project, praising her both for her acting prowess and her personality. For Aditi, the feeling was mutual. The actress shared that she never expected the chance to share screen space with an actor as acclaimed as Pankaj Tripathi. When director Ali Abbas Zafar approached her, she jumped at the opportunity, noting that she could not pass up the chance to learn from such a talented co-star who, she added, was incredibly supportive and caring toward the entire crew throughout the shoot.
Directed by Varun V Sharma, the film features a screenplay penned by Brijendra Kala, Ali Abbas Zafar, and the director himself, with dialogues by Brijendra Kala. The recently released trailer offers a glimpse into an intriguing premise, showing Aditi as a house help in Pankaj Tripathi’s home, setting the stage for a series of unexpected and humorous events. Produced as a Sony LIV original, the film is set to premiere on the platform on November 13, promising a refreshing experience for audiences looking for quality storytelling that the whole family can enjoy together.
