Nushrratt Bharuccha is on the road to recovery after suffering a painful spinal fracture during a recent trip to Bali. The actor, who was airlifted to Mumbai via air ambulance for specialized medical care, shared a heartwarming update from her hospital bed. In a candid Instagram Story, Nushrratt was seen in high spirits, smiling and interacting with her medical staff while enjoying a meal. Proving that some Bollywood magic is the best medicine, she was captured watching the iconic track ‘Gerua’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol on her room’s television.
Reflecting on the power of cinema to lift one’s mood, the actor captioned her post with a hopeful message, noting how the hit song from the 2015 film ‘Dilwale’ brought a much-needed smile to her face. “A reminder, things get better… little by little.. they always do. Healing slowly, dreaming endlessly,” she wrote. The song, a fan-favorite composed by Pritam and crooned by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra, clearly provided a moment of solace for the star as she navigates her post-surgery recovery process.
Following the injury in Bali, Nushrratt’s team had previously confirmed that her health was the absolute priority, leading to the postponement of her upcoming professional commitments. While the actor undergoes a period of rest and rehabilitation, her team has requested privacy to allow her to focus entirely on her recovery. On the professional front, the actor was last seen in the film ‘Ufff Yeh Siyapaa’, which was directed by G. Ashok and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.
