Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility for shooting incident near Tiger Shroff in Juhu

The Mumbai film industry is in a state of shock after a terrifying shooting incident targeted actor Tiger Shroff on the evening of Sunday, October 18, 2026. The attack occurred in the Juhu area near Pushpa Park, where three unidentified assailants on motorcycles opened fire. While Tiger Shroff escaped the incident unharmed, his driver, Firdous, sustained a gunshot wound to his left arm and was rushed to Nanavati Hospital. Two other individuals, including a bystander named Chavan, also suffered injuries, though authorities have confirmed that all victims are currently out of danger. Forensic teams on the scene recovered evidence suggesting that 10 rounds were fired during the assault.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has officially claimed responsibility for the attack. In a chilling social media statement, gangster Anil Pandit, a Haryana native currently believed to be based in America, and his associate Harman Sandhu, alleged that the shooting was a direct consequence of Shroff ignoring previous warnings. The group also issued a broader threat to the Mumbai film industry, specifically warning that anyone associated with actor Salman Khan remains a target. In response, the Mumbai Police have launched a massive investigation, deploying 15 specialized teams to track the perpetrators and comb through local CCTV footage. DCP Mohit Garg confirmed that one suspect has already been taken into custody for interrogation, while the actor’s father, Jackie Shroff, has publicly verified that his son is safe.

The incident has ignited a fierce political firestorm across Maharashtra. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde condemned the violence, promising that gang warfare will not be tolerated and that the state is committed to ensuring artists can work without fear. Meanwhile, Minister Ashish Shelar has been in direct contact with Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti regarding the security breach. The opposition has been equally vocal, with AIMIM leader Waris Pathan pointing to previous threats against Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty, while the Aam Aadmi Party has called for the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah. NCP-SP MLA Rohit Pawar expressed grave concern over the deteriorating situation, and Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) leader Sanjay Raut has demanded the imposition of President’s Rule in the state.
