The film industry is in mourning following the sudden passing of veteran actor Nana Patekar, who breathed his last on October 8. Among those deeply affected by the loss is Bollywood star Sunny Deol, who took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to the late legend. Despite never having the chance to share the screen together, Deol revealed that the two actors maintained a special bond that spanned many years. Reflecting on Patekar’s vibrant personality, Deol wrote, “Still can’t believe Nana is not among us. Fearless, full of life, he always did what he wanted to do. That’s how I’ll always remember him. Will miss you, Nana.” To accompany his touching message, Deol shared a nostalgic photograph of the two together from a Gadar 2 event.
The 75-year-old actor passed away in Goa after suffering a severe cardiac arrest. Reports indicate that Patekar had reached out to a friend around 2:30 am on Thursday to express that he was feeling unwell. Although his friend arrived at his residence by 4 am to provide assistance, the actor was rushed to Manipal Hospital. Medical professionals at the facility reportedly spent 45 minutes attempting to revive him, but he could not be saved. The news was officially confirmed by Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Chief of the Oncology Department at the hospital.
