Priyanka Chopra Jonas continues to prove that you can take the girl out of India, but you can never take India out of the girl. The global icon recently offered fans a heartwarming look at how she celebrated Dussehra at her Los Angeles residence, ensuring that traditional rituals remain a central part of her life abroad. Alongside her husband Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Marie, Priyanka performed a traditional puja, bringing the festive spirit of Navratri and Dussehra to her home miles away from her homeland.
The actress took to Instagram to share a series of photos from the intimate celebration, showing the family fully immersed in the festive atmosphere. Dressed in elegant traditional attire, the trio looked every bit the perfect family, but it was little Malti who stole the show. In one of the most adorable snapshots from the day, the toddler was seen wearing a ‘Jai Mata Di’ chunri, perfectly matching the devotional mood of the occasion. Priyanka captioned the post with a heartfelt wish, writing, “May the strength of Maa Durga, the purity of our prayers and the spirit of Dussehra stay with us all, today and tomorrow and always.”
Beyond the festive celebrations, Priyanka is gearing up for a massive return to the Indian big screen. The actress is set to star in the highly anticipated action-adventure film Varanasi. Directed by the visionary SS Rajamouli and co-starring superstar Mahesh Babu, the project is already being touted as one of the most ambitious films in recent memory. Spanning multiple timelines and continents, the movie will feature a score by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani. Fans can mark their calendars for April 7, 2027, when the film is scheduled for its worldwide theatrical release.
