According to Dr. Shekhar Salkar, the Chief of the Oncology Department at Manipal Hospital in Goa, the medical team was called to the actor’s home after he complained of severe chest pain. In the early hours of the morning, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Patekar had reached out to a friend via message expressing that he was unwell and experiencing heavy sweating. Despite the medical team’s dedicated efforts to resuscitate him with CPR for 45 minutes, they were unable to save him, and he was officially declared dead at 5:20 a.m.
Following the tragic event, authorities have registered a medico-legal case, and a post-mortem examination is currently scheduled to determine further details.
