The Bollywood fraternity is shaken following the unsettling firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff. While the star remains safe, the event has sparked a conversation about public safety within the industry. Senior actors Manoj Bajpayee and Divya Dutta recently opened up about the incident, expressing both relief for the actor’s well-being and deep concern regarding the current climate of security.
Manoj Bajpayee addressed the media, noting that while he does not believe the incident points to a larger gang war, the randomness of the violence is deeply disturbing. “Shots are being fired from who knows where—that’s really scary,” Bajpayee remarked. He expressed his relief that Tiger and his driver are recovering, while emphasizing the need for a swift conclusion to the ongoing police investigation. Bajpayee added that he hopes the authorities act decisively to set an example, ensuring that perpetrators think twice before endangering lives in the future.
Echoing these sentiments, Divya Dutta highlighted the psychological impact such news has on the public. She stressed that a sense of security is a fundamental necessity for everyone, and incidents like this tend to unsettle the entire community. “When it shakes like that, it absolutely shakes you up,” Dutta shared, while expressing her faith in the authorities to handle the matter effectively.
On the investigative front, the Mumbai Police have made significant progress. Seven additional individuals have been arrested from Haryana in connection with the case, bringing the total number of suspects to ten, including two women. These individuals are being brought to Mumbai for further legal proceedings. Previously, the Anti-Extortion Cell had already taken three suspects into custody from Kota, Rajasthan. These individuals appeared before the Esplanade Court and have been remanded to police custody until October 31 as the investigation continues.
