Yami Gautam asks media outlets to stop using AI to enhance her public appearance photos

In an era where artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping the digital landscape, actor Yami Gautam has taken a firm stand regarding her own likeness.

In an era where artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping the digital landscape, actor Yami Gautam has taken a firm stand regarding her own likeness. The ‘Article 370’ star recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to issue a sincere request to media outlets, urging them to stop using AI tools to alter or enhance images taken during her public appearances. Yami emphasized that such manipulations should never occur without the explicit knowledge and consent of the individual involved, requesting that her photos be shared in their original, untouched form.

While the actress did not point to a specific incident that triggered this request, her statement arrives just one day after Telugu superstar Jr NTR voiced his frustration regarding AI-tampered video clips circulating online from the song ‘Chuttamalle’ in his recent film ‘Devara’. Yami’s proactive stance highlights the growing industry concern over the ethical implications of AI-generated content and the unauthorized manipulation of celebrity imagery.

On the professional front, fans are eagerly awaiting Yami’s next big-screen outing, ‘Nayyi Navelli’, which is slated for a theatrical release on October 16, just in time for the Dussehra festivities. Directed by Balaji Mohan, the film promises a unique blend of fantasy, humor, and action centered around a family drama. Yami stars as Mohini, a new daughter-in-law in the Awasthi household whose arrival sparks mysterious questions and hidden secrets. The film features an ensemble cast including Addinath M Kothare, Mita Vasisth, and Susmita Mukherjee, and is produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma.
