Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor has found himself at the center of a security scare after receiving a menacing phone call demanding a massive extortion payment of five crore rupees. The caller, who explicitly claimed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified himself as Harry Boxer during the tense communication. Taking the threat seriously, the actor immediately approached the Mumbai Police to file a formal complaint regarding the incident.
In response to the report, the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Extortion Cell and the Crime Branch have launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter. As part of a detailed technical inquiry, the Crime Branch’s forensic team conducted a rigorous voice analysis. Investigators compared the audio recording of the threat against the official voice samples of Harry Boxer already stored within the police database to verify the caller’s identity.
Senior police officials have since confirmed that the voice recording does not match the known samples of Harry Boxer. Consequently, authorities are now working under the suspicion that the threat may be a calculated hoax or an act of impersonation by an unidentified individual attempting to leverage the notoriety of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to solicit funds. Law enforcement remains active on the case as they work to trace the origin of the call and identify the person behind this extortion attempt.
