The investigation into the terrifying attack on Bollywood star Tiger Shroff has taken a major turn. Police in Kota, Rajasthan, have apprehended three suspects following a swift intelligence-led operation. The incident occurred on the evening of October 18, 2026, in Mumbai’s Juhu area while Shroff was heading home after a football session. Although the actor narrowly escaped direct gunshot wounds, he suffered injuries to his left arm caused by gunpowder and shattered glass. His driver, Firdaus, was also injured during the ambush.
Acting on a tip-off from Mumbai police, authorities intercepted the suspects aboard the Pune-Jaipur Express. Kota SP Tejaswini Gautam confirmed that the trio was captured within just 15 minutes of the search operation. The detainees include 18-year-old Rehan, also known as Sukka, who has a history of Arms Act violations; 22-year-old Hrithik Kumar, a former Mumbai-based Rapido driver; and a 17-year-old juvenile. Officials believe the group was attempting to flee to Nepal via Delhi after having monitored the actor’s daily routine for some time.
The case has now been transferred to the Mumbai Crime Branch, as links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have emerged. Preliminary findings suggest the suspects were in contact with gang operative Anil Pandit, who is reportedly coordinating activities from California. Pandit, who has also been linked to a 2026 attack on a gym associated with singer Guru Randhawa, is also allegedly connected to an unverified audio clip threatening Salman Khan. While police have seized the Pulsar motorcycle used in the crime, the weapon remains missing. Plans are currently underway to transfer the detainees to Mumbai for intensive interrogation.
