It was a surreal moment for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fans this weekend as Ranbir Kapoor stepped back into his Bunny avatar during a visit to the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal. The actor, dressed in a traditional red-and-gold kurta, spent his Saturday evening seeking blessings from Goddess Durga before catching up with his close friend and frequent collaborator, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. While the pandal visit was already a star-studded affair, the evening took a heartwarming turn when Ranbir joined singer Harshdeep Kaur on stage for an impromptu rendition of the hit track Kabira.
Footage of the performance quickly flooded social media, showing a relaxed Ranbir holding the mic and encouraging the crowd to sing along to the soulful melody. The unexpected reunion of the actor and the voice behind the song sent fans into a frenzy, sparking a wave of nostalgia for the 2013 blockbuster. Social media users flooded the comments section with praise for the actor’s handsome look and shared their emotional reactions to the throwback, with many posting GIFs and clips from the film that originally featured Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin alongside Ranbir.
Beyond the musical trip down memory lane, the actor remains in the spotlight as fans eagerly await his next big-screen appearance. Following his high-octane performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 action drama Animal and his role in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir has been busy prepping for his upcoming projects. He is currently gearing up for Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious cinematic project, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, which marks his next major theatrical release.
