If you missed the chance to catch Emraan Hashmi’s latest blockbuster, Awarapan 2, on the big screen, you can now enjoy all the action from the comfort of your couch. The film has officially made its digital debut on Prime Video, bringing the intense drama straight to your home screens. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the movie features a stellar ensemble cast, including Disha Patani, the legendary Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Vijayant Kohli, and Suvinder Vicky.
Since its theatrical release in August 2026, the film has shattered expectations to become one of the highest-grossing projects of Emraan Hashmi’s career. The actor has been vocal about the project’s unique journey, calling it a “rare phenomenon” in the industry. As a direct sequel to the 2007 original directed by Mohit Suri, the film holds a special place in Hashmi’s heart. While the first installment failed to make a mark at the box office two decades ago, its massive cult following eventually paved the way for this successful revival.
Reflecting on the film’s success, Hashmi took to social media to praise the vision of producer Vishesh Bhatt, who remained committed to the world of Awarapan despite the original’s initial lukewarm reception. The actor described the sequel as his “best film yet,” highlighting the creative brilliance and musical genius that brought the story to life. Whether you are a fan of the iconic tracks like ‘Toh Phir Aao’ from the first film or simply love a gritty Bollywood drama, Awarapan 2 is now ready for your weekend binge-watch on Prime Video.
