Ali Fazal celebrates one month of Mirzapur The Movie success and cheers for Drishyam 3

Guddu Pandit has spoken, and he is feeling the love.

Guddu Pandit has spoken, and he is feeling the love. As Mirzapur: The Movie officially completes a successful one-month run in theatres, lead star Ali Fazal took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the fans. Reflecting on the journey, the actor shared a heartfelt note, stating, “The grill, the focus. Bring it on. My film completes a month today in theatres. We did something right, I like to think. Thank you again for all the love.”

The box office numbers certainly back up his sentiment. Since its release on October 4, the cinematic expansion of the cult franchise has been a massive hit, crossing the Rs 200-crore milestone. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film stands at an impressive Rs 231.40 crore at the end of its fourth week. The movie, which sees the return of fan-favorite characters like Pankaj Tripathi’s Kaleen Bhaiya and Divyenndu’s Munna Bhaiya, continues the high-stakes battle for the Mirzapur throne. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and backed by Excel Entertainment, the project has proven that the audience is still hungry for the gritty world of the web series on the big screen.

In a display of true industry camaraderie, Ali Fazal didn’t just celebrate his own win; he used his platform to encourage fans to keep the theatrical momentum going. In his post, he gave a subtle shoutout to the latest box office sensation, Drishyam 3, urging his followers to head to the cinemas. “Now go watch Drishyam 3. And other films. You have been an awesome audience. Keep the theatres alive,” the actor added.

Meanwhile, the Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam 3 is already making waves, having crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in India within just two days of its October 2 release. The film brings back the iconic Vijay Salgaonkar, played by Devgn, alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Jaideep Ahlawat, as they face a fresh investigation that threatens to unravel the family’s carefully constructed life. With both Mirzapur: The Movie and Drishyam 3 dominating the conversation, it is clear that the Indian theatrical landscape is currently thriving.
